Scholarship Competition for Doctoral and Postdoctoral Training
Each year, usually in the Spring, students are invited to submit their application to the Admitting Competition for Doctoral and Post-doctoral training scholarships.

Preparing and submitting an application
You want to make your research project on a topic related to public health interventions? Know that the candidates must be sponsored by a Public Health Mentor program. Also note that in the case of a postdoctoral fellowship application, the doctorate must have been obtained, or the thesis defense held and successful.
You need: - To register at a university at the PhD or Post-Doc level.
- Identify a thesis director or co-supervisor.
- Identifying a Public Health Setting and Public Health Mentor (see the List of Mentors ) which will act as training coordinator in the Public Health Setting. Sometimes the Public Health Mentor plays the role of director of co-supervisor.
- Carefully prepare your research project and scholarship application. Note that the application must be signed by not only the Public Health Mentor but also by the Director of the Public Health Organization where you will be doing your internship (eg CSSS, DSP, INSPQ).
- You must submit by mail your application before the closing date of the contest to:

The application package must include:- The Application Form completed and signed
- Your curriculum vitae including publications (Common CV recommended but not required)
- Your official university transcripts (undergraduate, masters, doctorate)
- At least two (2) confidential letters of recommendation from teachers and university supervisors
- A letter of support from a Public Health Mentor
Evaluation of application
The selection committee is comprised of 4P Training Program mentors and administrators, as well as outside researchers. See the evaluation criteria in the Admission Competition section.
