Mental health problems are a great burden to society and justify more focus from a public health perspective. Improving mental health is a complex undertaking that requires diversified strategies and the mobilization of multiple partners. Despite the existence of significant data on effective mental health promotion, prevention, and treatment interventions for common disorders, implementation is slow.
Founded in 2009, Qualaxia is a network of researchers, experts, decision-makers, managers, and clinicians dedicated to implementing effective actions such as the promotion of mental health and the prevention and treatment of the most common mental disorders. The network also evaluates the effectiveness of interventions that aim to improve public mental health.
The network’s objective is to promote knowledge transfer in the field of public mental health through a dynamic Web platform: 25 theme files updated on a regular basis, a monthly newsletter, exchanges and reflexivity activities with knowledge producers and users regarding evidence-based data (blogs, lunchtime videoconferences, and conference events such as the Annual Public Health Days (JASP) and Annual Mental Health Days (JASM).
